Accessing your mail reader

Changing your default mail or news reader

• Click the News button on the Button Bar.

• The default news reader for Internet Explorer is Internet Mail and News. If you did not install it, or threw it away, you can download another copy from http://www.microsoft.com/ie/mac/features/imn.htm.
• If you would like to use an application other than Internet Mail and News, open Internet Config and set the application that you want to use as the NEWS helper.

• If you would like to use an application other than Internet Mail and News, open Internet Config and set the application that you want to use as the MAILTO helper.

To change your default mail or news reader

1. From the Edit menu, choose Preferences.
2. Click the Open Internet Config button.
3. Click the Helpers button.
4. Click "mailto-" and then click Change.
5. Click Choose Helper.
6. Select the program you want to use to read mail and then click OK.
7. Repeat STEPS 3-6 to change your news server, but choose "news-" in STEP 4 and the program you want to use to read news in STEP 6.
8. From the File menu, choose Save.
9. From the File menu, choose Quit.
